Requires skill, but forgives mistakes

This is not cement, more Styrofoam or Model Magic. Aside from that, you can always roll up the clay and start over if you are unsatisfied. My dog was ok the first time but I knew I could do better so I did it again. The rolling pin that comes with it is just a plastic tube, so if you have a regular rolling pin I recommend it. Make sure your hands, paw and surfaces are clean, then roll out on aluminum foil and transfer to a book or plate. Let your pet rest, this will help it go smoothly. I found that the water made my dog's paw stick to the clay, but not for a rat or cat, so you may need to experiment with that. This can be tricky, but remember you are working with a live animal and I love that you can start over. Since it's also foam, it can't "dry" completely and has some flexibility. If this happens to me I'll put them in the sun on a warm day and see if that helps.

Pros

Cons
  • unreliable
