This is cheap furniture. It works great for my use as it was purchased to set up two stereo speakers on a bookshelf. Advantages: - Easy assembly. Took no more than 15 minutes. - Looks good Cons: - Cannot support heavy items, no more than 10lbs per shelf (there are two of them, top and bottom) - Cheap materials (plastic for legs, chipboard for panels) want to sit or put heavy objects on it. I also think people are buying them thinking they can use them for bedroom bedside tables. I wouldn't because the surface is too small and the height is too low. This is more intended for placing a small potted plant and a few books - light objects - somewhere in the house.
