When we first received the sink protector set I was very happy with it apart from the strong plastic smell. We had spaghetti for dinner the other day. I washed the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. To my surprise, I noticed the discoloration as I rinsed the pot of sauce, placed it in the dishwasher, and turned back to the sink. I immediately poured hot water and soap into the sink, thinking it would remove the discoloration. Do not go. I put it in the dishwasher and let it run. No luck there either. I soaked in vinegar. Nothing yet. Very disappointed. I defeat the purpose of a sink protector if you have to take it off for fear of getting it dirty using the sink.
