A godsend for hiding medication

My cat was prescribed medication. We tried everything to get him to take it. In his wet food, crushed and rolled in deli turkey meat, and I tried another brands "pill pocket" treats. He would not eat it so we had to switch to liquid medication and force him. It was traumatic for all involved. Then I found these. The creamy center easily hides a cut up pill. At first my cat was skeptical because he likes crunchy treats and these are soft, but he did try it and once he did grew to actually really like these. I am so relieved. If you are looking at these for that purpose you will be glad you tried. I think the more potent smell hides the medication well and they are so easy to stuff. Stick the pill in, some of the paste will come out the other end, scoop with you finger and wipe back at the end you stuck the pill. They will never know it's in there.

Pros
  • my cat loves them
Cons
  • Cats like the tubes better. If they could talk I would think they would say these were a little dry.
