99 4runner with factory tow package. My problem was that the trailer lights didn't work. I assumed it was the controller as many people say. Well it's true. It was the controls. After installing this wiring harness, the trailer lights will now work. It's only 4 pins but it suits my needs. Installation: It's easy. It took two hours but if you follow my instructions it only takes one hour. Because I had to do it twice. Instructions: You can't screw this up if you don't follow the instructions to install the controller box on the left side of the truck. As other people have said, put it on the right side. I initially placed it on the left side and worked the headlights to the rear. Changed it to the correct one and all is good. I have one more thing to do - tighten the belt through the body. There is a connector on the right that I will poke through to bring the connector down. It is a low-cost alternative to the factory controller. I am satisfied with the purchase and the product.
