Review on 8TB BUFFALO DriveStation Quad - High-performance Desktop DAS with 4 Drives by Jason Daves

So far, so good! It's only been running for two days, so I'll be sure to update if anything changes. I set up a RAID 5. The backup consists mainly of photos and Time Machine. Photos range from 20MB to 75MB each. Photo editing in Photoshop and Lightroom via USB 3.0 is fast and changes are almost instantaneous. Buffalo doesn't make their own discs, so I'm told this could come with discs from all major manufacturers. Mine ended up with WD Red drives, so I'm happy with that. The fan isn't too loud and the Quadstation is working well so far.
