This gravel is POISON. It will kill everything in your aquarium.

This gravel killed all our fish and African dwarf frogs. Do not do that. Revain shouldn't let it sell. Terrible product that poisoned our tank. We bought our 6 year old son a 3.5 gallon tank as a birthday gift. We started with 2 fish and a frog. My husband and I had aquariums when we were single so we have experience and know how to set up an aquarium. We cycled through the water. We had a filter, a heater and an air pump. We tested the water with a water test kit. So the water was well prepared. We then decorated with this gravel, which my son chose because he liked the bright colors. We also added two ornamental plants and a small frog den to hide in. After that was done, we put a fish and a frog inside. After a few hours, the frog became ill and swam as if she had had a stroke. We thought we might have bought a sick frog. We brought it back to the store and were allowed to exchange it for a new frog. We tested the water at the pet store and they told us the water was fine so we thought it was a frog. A new frog enters. The next morning the frog and the two fish, which were guppies, were dead. So we cleaned the tank and drained the water again. I redid everything and decided on a new fish. We have three zebras. By this time our son was very upset that the frog and fish were gone. We told him they were sick and took them back to the store. All zebras died within a day. We just couldn't figure out what caused the death of the fish as the water was normal and the temperature was good. We turned the water back on and started over. This time we bought two Seber Tetras. By morning one of the tetras was dead. The other was alive but appeared to be ill because it wasn't swimming. We figured something in the aquarium must be poisoning the water. So in the elimination process we decided to take out the gravel and turn the water back on. We put the sick fish back into the tank without gravel. The next day the fish were better. He swam and ate. So, in summary, the gravel poisoned the tank. DO NOT BUY THIS GRAVEL. I would give zero stars if I could. We bought new gravel and now we have three tetras including one sick fish and they are all fine with the new gravel. Revain must not allow this product to be sold on Revain
