Review on Cisco DPC3008 Cable Modem: Compatible with Xfinity/Comcast, Spectrum, AT&T, TWC, Cox, and Leading Internet Providers, DOCSIS 3.0 Modem by Robert Kimble

Perfect setup for our Comcast internet service

We subscribed to Comcast's high speed cable internet service but didn't want to pay the monthly rent for a router we didn't need (I already had a good wireless network) . routers). I just needed a modem. That's where this boy came in. Cisco is a leading provider of telecommunications equipment and services, and this cable modem lives up to that reputation. We simply connected a coax cable to one end and an ethernet cable to the other. He just started working straight away. I've connected this ethernet cable to a Linksys wireless router and haven't had a single configuration issue between the two. I get the fastest broadband speeds that Comcast advertises to us, both downstream and upstream. While this is more to do with Comcast having a lot of bandwidth in our area, the Cisco cable modem doesn't interfere with this process in any way. If like me you don't need Comcast to provide all your internet and network routing for your home and you just need a cable modem to get a signal, you can't go wrong with the DPC3008.
