Very easy installation on computers and accessories

Incredibly easy installation. From the time the box arrived in the mail, I was connected to the internet in about 15 minutes, including the time I spent chatting with an offshore Xfinity support rep! I brought the old box to Xfinity the same day and saved $120 a year (four times more than this box).

Pros
  • Complete set

I've had Zoom modems for 11 years with no problems

I've had the best experience with Zoom cable modems since DOCSIS 1.0 for 11 years. They work fine with Comcast except for a transitional period when Comcast decides to implement a new DOCSIS, messing up communications with your modem. This happened to my internet connection recently. Comcast implemented DOCSIS 3.0 and my internet connection worked. After contacting a (as usual) ignorant Comcast agent, I was forced to buy another modem (otherwise I would have had to wait a week for the wizard)…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Available in black only

Big! Electronics: Modems

I upgraded my cable internet and wanted a new device to avoid paying extra fees from the cable company. Have been using it for about 6 months now and haven't had a single problem and it's already paid for itself. I have a 30mb service and it supports it with no problem. Do yourself a favor and have one!

Pros
  • Easy to Use
Cons
  • Disappears

Low cost cable modem that works well with TWC spectrum up to 100Mbps.

addendum: Has been working perfectly for almost 3 years. I highly recommend this if your ISP is compatible with this device and they don't plan to increase the max speed in your area to over 100Mbps. --- I ordered this for my mother to replace her old cable modem (circa 2006) which was a Motorola Surfboard and only supported 20Mbps. She upgraded her internet to 100Mbps and it works fine. It didn't require regular reboots, and it didn't crash often. In general, it's happy with the higher speeds…

Pros
  • large selection
Cons
  • exorbitant price

The best modem for the money - definitely!

Absolutely great for the money. After 2.5-3 years it still holds - non-stop. Comcast told me they recommended 2 modems and Zoom was not one of them. Bought the one they recommended and it kept falling etc. Even though Comcast stated they don't openly support Zoom I bought it and it worked flawlessly for almost 3 years. I mean flawless! No compatibility issues with Comcast. Was the cheapest modem to download!

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • Factor Set

Reliable and at a good price

A little over a month later it works fine and there have been no problems. It doesn't get as hot as the Arris it replaced, and I like the smaller size, although in fairness the Arris had a built-in router and WiFi. I have 200/20Mbps service and had no problem hitting those speeds. This modem can also be hung on the wall, which I couldn't do with the old one.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Nothing here

Wow! What a good move!

Before this modem, I originally worked with the Motorola 5100 series and then "upgraded" to the Motorola Surfboard SB6121 when my cable company switched to DOCSIS 3.0. Both Motorola modems had problems disconnecting and rebooting. I had a remote on/off switch to reset the 5100 series as it didn't auto reset. Although the SB6121 is on the cable company's "Recommended" list, it was even worse from the start. After re-wiring the incoming cable connections inside and out twice with no improvement…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons

Easy Peasy setup good for modems

This works fine with my Comcas (Xfinity) connection in Michigan. I hooked it up to a Linsys E900 router and setup was pretty easy. All I had to do was take it out of the box, plug it into my existing cable port, and it was done. Excellent speed and no disconnections. It's been about a week since I've used it. I can only recommend this modem.

Pros
  • only positive
Cons
  • not reliable

Great modem - reliable, fast and cheaper than the competition!

*Update* We've been using this modem for over 2 years and have increased the speed to 200MB/s. He took everything we put into him and gives even more! With a direct connection, I usually get about 225 MB/s. We have upgraded the routers twice, but this remains constant! Good product! I've been using this modem with two different cable companies for a year and a half now and never had a single problem! It easily handles wired speeds of 100MB/s without hesitation or dips (we often hit close to…
