Review on Enhanced Protection: Hatch XTAK Tactical πŸ₯Ύ Knee Pads - Unbeatable Support for Tactical Operations by Mike Cody

XTAK knee pads. breathtaking.

I have been using the black XTAK kit for over a year. It was daily use as they sat on the dirt bike, crawled through mud and thick vegetation, hit the water and ran like an idiot, and they held up very, very well. Aside from looking pretty battered, baseball caps still feel like new. The elastic is strong, the clasps are reliable, the caps don't hang out. I bought another set of green ODs to have a spare pair, although I don't expect they'll ever really be needed as the black set seems to be built like a tank. First, I don't have any irritation issues tying it around the back of my leg. I got a star for rocking on the shooting range when I get on my knee because there really isn't a flat "platform" to lean on my knee while kneeling. It's a lot less stable than walking with one knee, but with an ACL replacement on each knee I need something to use if I hit the ground. Maybe it's how I wear them and how they sit on my foot, I don't know, but I have to spend valuable time looking for stability when I have to shoot. The important part of this is that I could look for some special marksman grips, but for general use you just can't find better ones than these. Oh, one last disclaimer: although I wear them as my only leg protection when riding my bike off-road, they won't be of much use in a fall. However, they do an excellent job of protecting your knees from brushing when moving through tight spaces. I would wear regular MX armor but it was a compromise between protection on the bike and mobility on the ground.
