Review on Yeelight LED Lightstrip 1S YLDD05YL, 2 m, LEDs: 48 pcs., 7.5 W, multi-colored, version: for other countries by Barbara Lenard ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I³'m satisfied with the product, it³'s well made and the price is also satisfying.

Works very bad, same with the Yeelight app In Mi Home, everything reacts with a delay, there is no way to put the usual white light, sometimes it just cuts off from the application and does not respond. Yeelight cannot log into my Mi Home account at all, it switches to the application, then back and the login button is constantly hanging. In general, the tape can be used to a limited extent and with stupidity through Mi Home, or through the Home Kit, but there are also problems with it, that Mi Home somehow blocks access. And in general, if you reset the tape and connect it via the Home Kit, the controller will show a yellow LED, as if it was not connected. : It turned out to set up an adequate work of the tape with AppleKit automation after connecting AppleTV as a home center. Without a home center, the tape is controlled directly via Wi-Fi, and after a while the application loses it. With the home center, the connection with the accessory always works, so everything works both via Wi-Fi and LTE. I have no idea how the iPhone keeps in touch with AppleTV through the mobile network, given that I don’t have an external IP, apparently some kind of Apple magic.

Pros
  • Made very high quality Rubberized diodes and the whole tape, twist it as you like, nothing will happen to it. Compact components (PSU and control unit). Sufficiently bright light long wire Very nice price Smart home support Home Kit, but adequate work only if you have an AppleTV or HomePod.
Cons
  • Mi Home app and Yeelight Working with AppleKit is a pain, one tape is connected, the other either wants or doesn’t want, plus they are constantly disconnected.
