Too bright, put away within a year
As many other reviews have said, this thing is insanely bright when you first install it. Too bright for something meant to illuminate a license plate. One night my friend was driving behind me only to say he was blinded by a license plate light. Don't worry as this is quickly remedied with the clear plastic turning yellow (within a few months) and the LEDs slowly dimming. Although I followed the advice of some other posters and sealed the edges of the case with silicone sealant, it didn't matter. The attached video shows how it looks a year after installation.
