That thing is bright. Like the line on the earth shines bright. Probably too bright for a license plate, but I like it that bright. However! It started flickering within 60 days. I contacted the company and they sent me a new one because it was within the warranty period, they said it was a one off item. I thought, okay, I won't have these problems anymore. Although the light is bright and perfect for mounting, it broke in less than 3 months. Although the light is weatherproof as it is neatly stowed under the bed of my truck and all wiring is neat and tidy, half the light flickers epileptically. Since the other half of the lamp is still working fine and only one wire feeds the lamp, I can assume the connection isn't the problem. Too bad, otherwise it was perfect. Can't wait to sort the wiring now as everything is very neatly bound and packaged. 👎

As many other reviews have said, this thing is insanely bright when you first install it. Too bright for something meant to illuminate a license plate. One night my friend was driving behind me only to say he was blinded by a license plate light. Very bright. When first installed it splices well and looks good despite the tiny power wires. Unfortunately, the central LEDs quickly stop working (about 3 months), sometimes they blink.
