Very bright. When first installed it splices well and looks good despite the tiny power wires. Unfortunately, the central LEDs quickly stop working (about 3 months), sometimes they blink. Eventually (within 7 months) the left and right sides either stop working or blink randomly independent of the other side. I plan to open it up and re-solder everything I can, but I won't be upset if I can't get it working again. I don't want to jinx myself, but I'm surprised I didn't get pulled over because my car has such a bright flashing light in the back. It's cheap and works in a pinch. Unfortunately, the build quality is also cheap, which I think creates issues. Maybe I'll fix it, maybe I'll buy another, maybe I'll buy something else. I just want it to last longer.
