Review on Samsung Gear Sport Wi-Fi NFC Smartwatch, black by Adithep Saengdern

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Thought it would be better, but overall not bad.

The main advantage is the price. 16k against 18-19k for the frontier at the beginning of March 2022. The bezel doesn’t play, it’s a pleasant clatter when scrolling. Very high-quality graphics in the standard weather widget, baro-altimeter, just because of these widgets and admiring them, you can have a clock. I have the following battery consumption when recording a gps track: - 7-8% per hour in pairing mode with a phone (and using its GPS module) - 15% per hour offline (using your own GPS module) In the mode of constant pairing with the phone and the absence of a GPS track recording, that is, at rest (rare viewing of time, widgets) - minus 3-4% of the battery per hour. That is, approximately 80-90 hours until the battery is completely consumed. Disable the continuous heart rate reading further to achieve the minimum flow rate. To record on Strava, use the Sporty Watch app ($3). For a widget with a view of the remaining charge of a smartphone, I recommend Gear Widget. You will see the percentage of the phone's battery on the clock, and not climb into the phone. In general, a good purchase, who cares about spending 19k on the frontier. sold the watch. Extremely low autonomy.

Pros
  • Great screen Comfortable on the hand, not bulky Like design Water resistance WR50 (although there are cases of drowning, but most likely this is from vigorous swimming.) Convenient menu Super Widgets
Cons
  • The main drawback is the non-switchable SHealth. In the settings, you can cut everything off, but it still counts the steps and writes the activity to the Samsung server. It eats 15-20% of the battery. If Samsung provides the ability to completely turn off SHealth, or even better, cut it out of the watch, then you can safely put 5 points on the watch. The accelerometer in the gesture of turning the hand (quick time viewing) is not quite adequate, I would like to adjust its sensitivity. The strap is cheap for $1 There is no support for the Strava program and this is a pancake in a sports watch)) But there is a way out of the situation. No conversational speaker (but this is + to water protection)
