Don't know if it works or not. Firstly, it's really thick, so I think it adds enough volume to your waist that the pants may not fit, or it will be very uncomfortable. Anyway, I'll never know. There was no way to put the rivet through any hole, so there was no way to secure it. It's meant to be flexible and once you've attached it, it'll be easy next time. After pulling and stretching and pushing over and over again, I couldn't even partially close it. The strap needs to be twice as thin and twice as flexible for this thing to work. Mine goes straight in the trash.
