Great color, good price, but a pretty nasty flicker spoils the effect
I like everything about these bulbs except for the flicker. There's no smoothing on the power supply so it flickers at 120hz, twice the AC frequency.For most folks, this is not a problem. You probably won't even notice, but if you're one of the 20% of the population that can see it, it'll drive you nuts. For me, it's headache-inducing - not a property I seek in mood lighting. It's unfortunate - for a pittance, a capacitor could have been added to the power supply circuit, turning it into a buttery smooth glow. Instead, it's a raspy, flickering sandpaper on the eyes.
