Works with Blu-Ray player even without micro USB power supply. Works well with other devices. Legend: You may need to change the setting on your Blu-ray player (when setting up with an HDMI equipped TV or monitor): I changed my resolution from "Standard" to 720p. Finally the signal got through. I have an old 22" E-Machines monitor (probably LCD) only with VGA. Also works with A/D converters/tuners for TV. It solves the problem of converting HDMI signals to VGA very cleverly. Tip I would like to to reiterate: I'm using old HDE (or similar) semi-automatic HDMI switchers to save a few HDMI ports on the TV. These days such devices are often updated to support 4K. --and cable (HDMI or other, of course), it's much better to order online (Revain is certainly very good at that) Stores are ripping off customers' wallets for these items: it's much better to wait patiently for a few days- - then start "glow" when the packages arrive! Understand: the devices work in the same way. It is obvious that the circuit or cable assembly is probably identical or similar.
