Description of Rankie 1080P HDMI to VGA Adapter Converter (Male to Female) with Audio for PC, Monitor, Projector, HDTV, Xbox and More - Active HDTV Solution

The lightweight and portable HDMI to VGA adapter connects an HDMI compatible device to a monitor or projector with VGA port; A VGA cable (sold separately) is required. Built-in active IC chip improves compatibility. Included Micro-USB cable provides additional power for devices with low-power output port such as MacBook Pro with Retina Display. The HDMI to VGA converter supports resolutions up to 1920x1080 (1080p Full HD) including 720p and 1600x1200 for HD monitors or projectors. Gold-plated connectors resist corrosion, provide rigidity, and improve the signal performance. 4" short cable relieves strain and protects HDMI port on your device. The HDMI VGA converter is compatible with desktop, laptop, Ultrabook, notebook, Intel Nuc, Macbook Pro, Raspberry Pi, Chromebook, Apple TV, Roku streaming media player, cable box, or other devices with HDMI port.

Works with Blu-Ray player even without micro USB power supply. Works well with other devices. Legend: You may need to change the setting on your Blu-ray player (when setting up with an HDMI equipped TV or monitor): I changed my resolution from "Standard" to 720p. Finally the signal got through. I have an old 22" E-Machines monitor (probably LCD) only with VGA. Also works with A/D converters/tuners for TV. It solves the problem of converting HDMI signals to VGA very cleverly. Tip I would like to

Excellent product, suitable for computer cable adapter

This is a lifesaver for those who have new laptops and an old VGA projector. As new laptops come out, they stop using VGA and use HDMI instead. We have a new/old church ceiling projector with only VGA capability. The laptop we used to display music, videos and words on the screen through the projector is very old and overheated. We swapped it out, but the newer laptop didn't have a VGA output. All the stores (Wal-Mart, Best Buy, etc.) had this product, but they were all designed for laptop HDMI

Ideal for special requirements!

That's a pretty simple concept. If you have an old monitor that only has a VGA connector (standard) and your new PC (or Raspberry Pi) only has HDMI as output, then this nice adapter fills the gap. You need a standard VGA cable with a connector. In my case, I have a Raspberry Pi and need access to a monitor (my monitor only has DVI and VGA inputs), but I'm also using a KVM switch that only has VGA. Entry. It's PERFECT for that. All I need is command line access to the Pi. I don't care about…

Broken after about 6 months of light use - no contact with company

Ordered in April 2020. firstly it worked perfectly. Since October (literally 6 months later) the computer has been disconnected (means my secondary monitor no longer recognizes the input or output? I don't know, but the second monitor turns off in this case and my computer slows down in the process ). , and all windows on the second monitor move back to my laptop main monitor). This happens continuously throughout the day and without any movement of the cord, the laptop, the desk it's sitting…

If you're giving a PowerPoint or other presentation and your laptop doesn't have a VGA output, you don't need to prepare too much. You know what I'm talking about: your new fast laptop doesn't have VGA (like most modern ones only HDMI). You come into the room and there is an old VGA connection and no HDMI! Your heart beats faster when you think about how to present without slides. This device has been AWESOME for me in each of these situations! I speak and teach often, usually using PowerPoint…

Sometimes you need a little more power

This is an active or active HDMI to VGA adapter. Normally, the power to convert an HDMI signal to a VGA signal is provided through the HDMI connection. In some cases, this power is either unavailable or insufficient to operate the converters' built-in digital converters without a power supply. This converter requires a 5V DC power supply (your main mobile phone charger) and a USB to Micro USB cable; None of this is included with the adapter. ** The converter can work with or without an external
