Bought this device for much needed desk space. I use it with an adjustable monitor arm to carry my Acer NItro 5 laptop, which it actually does very well. The block itself is strong, holds its position well, unobtrusive. I don't even need to use the straps that come with it. I appreciate the X's design, which keeps the laptop well-ventilated. I would put it higher if not for one but. This is not a new unit. I suppose you could call it a return and resell it. I received it along with some other items that I ordered at the same time. The original packaging was punctured and appears to have been re-taped. Unit was partially assembled (a few loose screws) and had tool marks and scuffs. I bought it at a reasonable price and am otherwise happy with the product itself, but I will not be using this seller again.
