I needed a simple travel case to protect my screen and not just toss my Vita in my backpack and this fit the bill. There's enough room in the bag for a couple of games or memory cards (though for the price of Vita memory cards, do people really have more than one?) as well as a couple of straps to keep the Vita in place. I've found that I don't use straps, just slip the Vita into a case before closing it, but this would be a good option if you're worried about it falling out when unpacking. Perhaps this could be a problem if you open the case upside down. There is also a loop for a small carabiner (a real carabiner is included) so you can attach it to your bag or belt loop at your convenience. I won't be using this feature myself as it would make me more comfortable in a pocket or backpack, but it's nice to have options. The case offers some protection as it is semi-rigid. It's not entirely hard plastic, but it also has some form so it's not flimsy like a sleeve-style screen protector. I wouldn't want to sit on my Vita even if I did, but dropping it a few feet might be enough to keep the screen from shattering (and avoiding scratches, of course). I should also mention that the Vita fits in really well - it's snug and doesn't bounce or rub against anything, so that's a positive. It's pretty much everything I wanted out of a case, so I'm glad I didn't spend 2 or 3 times as much on another option. If there are any downsides, it might be because the case isn't big enough to hold a standard Vita charger, but since I usually travel with a variety of USB chargers and at least one micro USB cable, this is not a problem. . The case can accommodate a USB cable, but the charger itself needs to be somewhere else. All in all, this is a great price and I would buy it again.
