So far so good Compact second SSD

I'm an IT professional and I like using high-quality, efficient and reliable hardware. I also like making the most of what the hardware has to offer. I have a Lenovo T540P I7 16GB computer as my workhorse of choice. It came with plenty of slots and ports at a price that I found quite affordable. So I love it and love charging it with electricity at a reasonable price and on a budget. So there used to be a 500GB Samsung Evo 850 SSD as the main drive and a WD 7200RPM 750GB hard drive in the optical drive enclosure. There is an empty WWAN card slot and I knew it could be used to connect an m.2 SATA III SSD. I bought a small 512GB M.2 from KingSpec and put it there with some skepticism. It fits great and my laptop recognized it immediately. I did some hands-on testing and was pleasantly surprised that the little KingSpec was as quick and efficient as the Evo. I cloned Evo on it (used 120GB of space) for 15-20 minutes. I have a laptop from m.2 and . not at all different from the evo. Opened some of my programming apps - same speed, no problem. Well I will still use the Evo as the main boot drive. I threw away the KingSpec clone and started using it for regular backups of the system. If someone wants to use it as a boot drive, why not? This is a good product and comes with a 3 year guarantee. As long as your computer can boot from the m.2 slot, you should be fine. Oh, the temperatures are great too - at least my car doesn't get warm or overheat at all. I'm giving five stars because I don't like it so far, including the price!
