Review on Monopod Release Digital Cameras Microfiber by Reginald Truitt

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Broke on the first try. straight to the bin

I'm torn about giving a bad review as the monopod itself is cheap and I've already got my money back from Revain - I should have left a warning to other buyers at the end. This monopod could travel all over the world with me and take nature and bird shots on my hikes. I would use it on my Fujifilm X-Pro and XT-3 cameras with different zoom lenses. On my first try out of the box, the monopod broke after I straightened my leg. It literally burst and broke away from the assembly; The photo shows that the latch has a factory defect (there is a crack). The metal attachment ring came loose after I lengthened the last leg. Another complaint has to do with the foam on the grip - it's too short to use comfortably. Not planning to use the monopod much, I decided to go with something inexpensive and lightweight, but didn't want to risk breaking the monopod on the first try.
