Takes some getting used to but well worth it

I've thought about trying a weighted blanket for a long time but I've always been intimidated by the price and the different quality they can be based on their type of weigh. sewn into blankets. But I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and give it a try. When you first feel it, just take it out of the box, it's amazing to feel a soft blanket that weighs so much. The weight is comfortably and evenly distributed and sewn into small pockets in the duvet to keep it from becoming uneven and lumpy. I could tell right away that lumpiness wasn't going to be a problem. And like I said, it was beautiful and soft. The ability to choose between sherpa texture on one side and fleece on the other is a nice perk. It turned out to be of pretty good quality with strong stitching so seems like it will hold up over time. When I used it for the first two nights it definitely felt weird with all the weight on me, but despite that I definitely slept better with it on. I wasn't waking up as often at night as I used to, and I felt more rested in the morning. I found that I was tossing and turning less than usual. After a few nights I got used to the new weight and fell asleep faster. The only downside to this duvet is that it doesn't have an easy-to-clean cover. The blanket itself is nice and soft, but over time using it without clothes will eventually require cleaning, which is simply not possible in a home washing machine. This might not be an issue depending on whether you're willing to take it to the wash. I went ahead and bought a case to use with it to avoid the problem. Overall I think this weighted blanket is a good buy. Good material, sewn to feel soft and comfortable with no lumps, and of course the benefits of weighting for starters (which I now think for sure, your mileage may vary of course)
