ok i paid the installer to hang my doors so i persuaded him to install them too lol just over a year since purchase and another couple weeks waiting put in i find the ball on the ground and the spring is up left pic right pic still works looks like there might be a part missing i have two cats want to guess where this part could be? , replace or even remove without damaging the doors. Specially deserves $300. That includes the guy I paid to install everything. I believe there is a screwed part in there that if you turn it counterclockwise with needle tips can take off I suspect you can try very gently squeeze it lid shut to hold the ball put back in place and tighten again hope to do so in the next few days to try. Update: This was pretty easy to use develop. It's a soft metal, so be careful when squeezing the hing a bit to hold the ball. I hope it's not an afterthought. But I'm glad I was able to fix it.
