Review on 🍳 Anolon Nouvelle Stainless Steel Cookware Pots and Pans Set: High-Quality 10 Piece Kitchen Utensils by Sandra Johnson

Happy with this purchase!

These are great pans for the price. After reading some of the reviews from people complaining that they were too heavy, I knew this was my set. The bottom of the pans is very durable in the form of a tank. My only concern is that the outside surfaces of the pan are too thin for my liking, especially the ring/rim at the top of the pan. On large pots, I can actually deform metal with moderate pressure. You definitely don't want to drop them and hit that outer edge. But if you take care of them, they're built well enough to take care of you. Don't break them against each other or drop them, they are strong enough to last a long time. I was a little confused by the pot terminology with all the different options and in hindsight I would have gone for a fully clad set of Analon pots which are more substantial but you pay for that too. However, I do not regret the purchase. Out of the box they are very elegant and the workmanship looks high quality. I had a few small (almost imperceptible) dents on a large pot, so small that I didn't bother customer service. Cooking on them is the same as any other stainless steel pan - don't expect them to be non-stick like Teflon pans and learn how to properly cook on stainless steel. Once you do that you should be fine. Sometimes I write something there, but mostly it's carelessness/operator error on my part. I see many reviewers complaining endlessly about things burning, metal discoloration, or lack of the mirror shine that the new ones had in the box. I would say they are exaggerated. You can light food in any pan, in my experience there is nothing with these pans that makes them more or less likely to burn food than any other stainless steel pan. It will not have magical properties that make it impossible for food to burn. And for that glossy finish, it's a goddamn cooking pan, not a museum piece. No frying pan looks as shiny new after months/years of use as it does in the box. If your expectations are reasonable, they will justify themselves. To me they are in excellent condition and I can use a scraper to restore a decent finish that looks nice. Like every other copper on the planet, the copper ring will tarnish/dull with repeated use and washing. I use a little Bar Keeper's Friend and a green sponge when I want to bring the shine back and for the most part it works well. I've had them for a few months now and they still look good; I have zero complaints. If they could reinforce the metal on the outside of the pot a bit, this set would be the best.
