Review on NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Earth Science Kit by James Trapkin

The reviews were great so I bought this set for my 7 year old who loves science. He was mainly interested in creating a volcano, but I loved that he said it had 15+ actions (which is actually a bit of a stretch compared to what it actually was). When I opened the box, the tools and items were packed in random boxes and bags. We started with a volcano. The instructions say there is a video on the website that you can watch, but I couldn't find one for the volcano in this particular set. It took a few days to make the volcano and it never dried out (even in the oven), I had to use some of my own containers to experiment with and when we finally got the volcano to erupt it hissed a bit but mostly looked that way off red cool help. I would like the instruments to be labeled or packaged for the experiment they are intended for. I threw away some of the instruments after the volcano, only to find that I needed them for other experiments. My son loved this set, but I spent more time figuring things out than experimenting with my son.
