I installed one of the two drums in my Brother HL-2280-DW and it went in with no problem. I had to reset the drum life on the printer but it was easy with a little help from a google search. I've found that the different printers that these drums fit have slightly different key sequences to reset the drum, so it's best to look up your specific model. My Brother printer has been a great workhorse so I expect it will continue to work so I can use a second photoconductor at some point - probably in a few years.
