I experimented with these two cameras before using them on a sailboat and was very disappointed with everything. Except for their 316 bulletproof body, there is nothing good about this product: i) Although some speakers claim good image quality, the transmitted images are poor, I just did a comparison with my $30 Amcrest camera, far from it ; ii) You can make it work as an IP camera and access it via your mobile phone, but many mobile apps require port forwarding 37777 (about 8000) which you cannot change in their web interface. So if 37777 is forwarded to another DVR in your setup, you're screwed. iii) their promoted MKvsion app (MKvision and similar) does not exist in the Google App Store; iv) What is most annoying? If you plan to access cameras remotely via LTE/5G modem router, cellphone companies block all ports at high level, you need to use P2P. their P2P server is located somewhere in China and hosted by umeye.com; the "umeye" app exists in the Google App Store but is entirely in Chinese; there is another app called "umeye pro" which is not in the google app store but can be downloaded from umeye (or its apk comes with the camera's usb stick); This app can be installed on your Android with a big warning that it is out of date (2016 edition)! After going through all this nonsense and connecting cameras to this outdated app, you'll quickly realize that videos are taking forever to buffer and play because it's all going through a website somewhere in China, not Revain's cloud servers . v) and yes, last but not least, their well-known support - I emailed them all about this a few days ago and still haven't gotten a reply. Bottom line - it was a smart idea to put the image sensors in a 316 body (which makes cameras very heavy by the way), but the rest of the implementation is junk and a far cry from what this industry is doing now.
