Well packaged and delivered safe and sound. I was really surprised how easy and CLEAN it was to write. Having never tried a dip pen, I expected it to drip until I got the hang of it, but there was no mess. I dipped the pen in a bottle of Lamy ink that I bought for my fountain pen and no drips. I found one side of the point moves more smoothly, but both sides work. It holds an amazing amount of ink, and changing the color of the ink is as easy as dipping the pen in water to rinse it out. I rarely write reviews but it was such a pleasure to find something new I wanted others to know
