Does its job but eats cartridges and makes no sense in many places

Some of the other reviews are true. Pros: This humidifier can throw water into the air in bulk, period. It has a huge tank that is a little more than I think is worth its price that really takes all the money. The higher you pay, it really should be "set and forget", and it should quickly take a percentage of the space you want it in and keep it there. He does his job appropriately. From morning non-use at 30% humidity in the middle of winter, starting with a full tank, once set to "high" and "constant", the thing turns the whole apartment where we love (60%) in about an hour - that is impressive. It keeps it there for about 12 hours before the tank is dry. The rest of the money should flow into ease of cleaning and freedom from maintenance. It's been in use for about three months and now it's leading to cons. Cons: Less expensive humidifiers do the same thing for less money, plain and simple. We miss our air-o-swiss, which no longer makes cartridges (why?). It didn't require ridiculous tidying up high in the cell in places you couldn't get to. The brush it comes with is useless and although it has a neat little holder in the tank it adds nothing more than a neat aesthetic and the bristles are rubbish after two uses because you will bend them if you try scrape off minerals. The minerals themselves are not actually filtered out by the filter. So I'm not sure what the filter even does? We have very hard water, but we have city water that doesn't have the worst performance in the world. It hasn't gone soggy so I'm giving the unit that, but after just 20 days of 8 hours of daily use our unit was absolutely 100% encrusted with scale/calcium and the filter was completely clogged and thrown away. Worst of all, the ENTIRE INSIDE OF THE ENTIRE HUMIDIFIER is now covered in nearly a full millimeter of dirt. hardened. We tried the mineral removal solution pshhhh. nope Treat the whole butt with old-fashioned vinegar and let it soak for at least 2 hours. Repeat until resolved. Get ready to do this every month. Also, be prepared to have their filters on standby and buy every 20-30 days. Also, be prepared for the entire top of the device to be covered in a "spider web" of mineral deposits that are almost impossible to reach, so vacuum it up with a feather duster or whatever. It is not intended at all to be able to clean this material. Guys, if you know that stuff is going in there, why can't you take the top apart to clean it? last complaint. The vibrating plate on the back that actually creates the mist is ridiculously impossible to clean or reach, which is the reason for the oddly angled brush they give you that falls apart on the second use. So I have to invent a new angled brush to scrape this thing with bristles that don't bend and turn into a wide angle brush because I can't rely on the ones they send me. . A very expensive humidifier that actually moisturizes well but is pricey for a nice aesthetic design that ends up causing more headaches than it helps. We'll keep looking for the next one if this one breaks, which I think will happen sooner rather than later. Air o Swiss. Please come back. Please.
