Sold as an accessory for KRUPS XP5240. I bought this to see if it would improve the quality of the coffee and filter the water better, but it has the disadvantage of having to constantly put the machine in steam/stop mode (see XP5240 manual) in order to to help pump water through the filter. I have to do this EVERY TIME I make coffee, otherwise the water slowly leaks out and the result is "burnt" coffee (due to overheating the water). When using the machine for the first time, it is important to use the steam/stop function 2-3 times to allow the filter to fill with water, otherwise water will not come out of the machine. This forces the machine to pump water into the filter. Discussion: I don't know if I should recommend this accessory due to the extra work involved in making espresso.
