Review on KMC 6 Outlet Surge Protector Power by Cornelius Mosley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great strips at the right price. Although they were a bit difficult to assemble.

*** As always, I bought these with my hard earned money and paid full price plus taxes. Also, I am in no way affiliated with anyone who wishes to make a dime from this purchase or my review. *** I'm just saying. I have used these extensions to power two medium sized aquariums organized on a stand. . They worked great and I really like them. The only problem is that the pear shaped mounting holes on the back of the slats are very shallow and not deep enough for any conventional screw head. It surprised me and I had to sit down and think about it for a while. I have an extensive collection of screws/bolts/nuts/washers and NOTHING I already had will fit in these shallow holes. I really don't know if anything other than a nail head will work. I mounted on a 3/16 piece of hardened hardboard, which also doesn't hold a nail, but both sides of the board were easily accessible. On the back of each strip were four pear-shaped mounting holes, two next to each other and about 1 inch apart at each end of the strip. With this I could simply drill two small holes in the board to match each set of mounting holes on the rails and thread the zip tie through a drilled hole in the board, then into a mounting hole on the rail and out. the other, then back through the second drilled hole in the board and zip up the back securely. Doing this at each end of each strip worked great. Everything is so solid that you don't see the zippers. This could pose a bigger problem if I'm installing something like drywall that's only accessible from one side. Given these limitations, these extensions work well and are very beneficial. They're easily a 5-star purchase for those who never intend to install them, which is probably 90% of the time.
