This was the first time I've made bread and used a proofing basket. It was really easy for a beginner like me. I was afraid the dough would stick to the lining, but with enough flour in the lining, it didn't stick at all. While I was washing the bowls by hand, only flour got on the bowls. There was some batter on the liner, but mostly flour. It was easier to clean as I just tossed it in the hot water washing machine and then hung it to dry. The included knife is very sharp so keep it away from little ones. I tried using this to cut a design onto the bread but although it was easy the drawing I tried didn't come out well. This kit has everything you need, you just need the ingredients to start making bread. It was definitely a lot easier than oiling the bowl.
