I saw a photo of me working at my desk and was appalled at how hunched over I was typing on my laptop. I bought this particular model because of the good reviews and because it seemed wide enough to fit in my Surface Pro with a keyboard (side-support models didn't seem up to the task). Well, I was still wrong about the dimensions because with the keyboard and all the space left to expand the screen, the stand is minimal, but, voila, I took the keyboard off and now it looks like a monitor (I bought a separate keyboard and mouse because they were also the culprits of my ongoing neck pain). The stand is very solid, heavy in a good way and looks great. Now I enjoy working at my desk a lot more!
