See I've tried many options. different options to keep my phone in the car. Some of these were cheap, and it was to be expected that they would either not meet the requirements or fall apart quickly. Some obstructed my view because they couldn't be adjusted properly and had to be front and center mounted. The Ram Mount system of brackets, extensions and brackets is solid and well thought out. You can customize them exactly how you want. They do a great job and are worth every penny. So stop messing around with smaller, temporary options, just collect the pieces you need and you're done. You will have this system for years to come and it will still be compatible with your latest smartphone or tablet.
