This is an odd beast compared to the rest of the RAM mount lineup. Ball clamps have the same durable, non-slip design; However, there is enough slack in many of the internal connections that the end result isn't the secure support I expect from a RAM mount (I used it for a dedicated cell phone mount). I got this lever to replace a short single lever shifter, also from Ram. This lever is much better. While one adjuster on the other lever shifted quicker, it was more difficult to manage when everything was loosened at once. With individual controls, it's easy to set everything up in the right places.
