It does what it's supposed to do. I welded mine and did the wiring myself. It was not so bad. I routed the wire from the cutout under the car forward (still underneath) and up through the engine bay. Make sure it is away from hot objects and radio cables so it doesn't melt and interfere with the radio. From there I cut off part of the cigarette lighter. Split the wire into two different ends. one is blue and the other is all black. The one with blue is power and all black is ground, just connect them to the battery and the black wire from the box is also connected to ground on the battery or body panel. the rest should fit
