I have received a new blue label Martin which has a slightly larger tab (handle hole in the head) than the previous red label version. Same great quality, just a slight improvement in design. The new Blue Label hammers use a wooden wedge along with two steel wedges to expand the handle that locks the head. It seems to be a very solid construction. Martin claims that this new design is "87% stronger in the bend test and 300% stronger in the pull test." [.] Convince yourself. I am very satisfied with the product.
