The set is probably too complex for most eight-year-olds. I would recommend it for children ten years and older. While there is enough yarn to weave four dogs, there is not enough yarn to knit four dogs. Some dogs require too much yarn if you only want to create four dogs. The tape measure on the back of the book is measured in inches and centimeters, while the instructions in the book are in yards. Suggestions: Use a hot glue gun to hold the dog together. . I used super glue but my puppies are a bit fragile. Consider yarn sizes when choosing puppies, or simply purchase more yarn from a craft store. Yarn.
