My kid gerbils have a typical large pet store box made mostly of plastic and they started chewing on plastic platforms, a running wheel and a bowl of food. I didn't want them to accidentally eat the plastic waste, so I replaced all the attachments with these awesome wooden platforms (and a metal feeding bowl, also from Revain). you love her! They nibbled a bit on the corners, but other than that they just enjoy hanging on to these platforms and jumping from one to the other. Even if they chew them up I don't have to worry too much about the babies' health and at such a reasonable price they won't break the bank when I need to buy replacements.
