Of course there are cheaper (and much more expensive) options, but I can't complain about the price. Yes, Harbor Freight sells some cheaper crates than these, but that's what you get. In terms of quality, this case seems a few steps better than what I've seen at their store. Bought to house my flatbed oscilloscope when not in use. Inside are two layers of 1" thick foam and a thin layer of 1/4" thick foam that can be easily cut to shape. I was able to use thinner padding in the middle to separate the two layers and create a nice pocket underneath that stores my lesser used cables and damping adjustment tools underneath the first layer you see here. The case seems pretty solid and the size was just right for my purposes.
