RODE VideoMicro Review

This review site collects many different products My review is about VideoMicro. Budget. Problem solved! The sound is miles better than the popular Vidpro XM-55 or SGC-598, so if you're considering these, do yourself a favor and get them. It's also much easier than using a TASCAM DR-60DmkII or later syncing to my TASCAM DR-40. Just plug it in and enjoy great sound. It is powered by the camera - make sure the microphone is on or the battery will die. This is a big plus. It's small, doesn't get in the way, has a great windscreen (a good fluffy one is usually worth almost the entire mic). Behind the camera. I am allergic now and my stale breath is unbelievable. I mainly use it with my Canon 70D, but it also attaches to my DJI OSMO via Osmo - Quick Release 360° Mic Mount with great results. I'll still need a Tascam with Lavalier or Rode NTG2 mics for some demanding tasks, but I suspect the Rode VideoMico will be used on its own quite a bit too. The quality is great and just makes life easier. My dog is obsessed with it too as it's fluffy and wiggles in its soft mount making for some fun shots; ) He thinks he's a beast, so I can't leave him lying around!
