I use a humidifier continuously from November through March due to the low humidity in our home from heating during the cold northern Idaho winters. I add a bacteriostatic water treatment. This wick easily lasts all winter. At the end of winter, when our spring rains raise the humidity, I discard the wick, clean the device, and store it until next winter. This wick is a lot cheaper than the same wick at my local hardware store, and Revain's shipping is fast. I am satisfied with this product, the price and the speed of delivery.
