I found the handle/bar to be easy to assemble. 1. You will notice where the base of the bar enters the mop head, it is made of plastic and would be more durable if made from a stronger material. In Figure 3 you will notice that after the rod has been inserted into the base of the wiper, the green nut is threaded around the end of the rod and tightened. In picture 4 you can see gray handles that are designed to clamp and grip the mop heads and hold them in place. The gray handles are too soft and flimsy to hold the mop in place. I bought this to clear walls and it fell in two hits. I reconfigured it and tried again, again it fell off. I have not used this mop for more than 5 minutes. In addition, the area where the squeegee is attached to the squeegee is so loose that it is difficult to control the squeegee. It should be a bit stiffer so the mop doesn't dangle too much. I actually bought another mop about 2 years ago. But it's not for sale anymore, so I've revised it. Otherwise I would buy another mop again. I am not happy with this mop and will be returning it for a full refund.
