COLOUR: I spent probably 24 hours agonizing over a duvet cover for my boyfriend and I. I wanted it to be pretty but not too girly or too colorful. PURPLE BEAN PASTE (whatever that means) is exactly the color I wanted. Predominantly light/soft gray with hints of lavender when exposed to direct sunlight. Goes great with my beige headboard. FEEL: If you're looking for the softest blanket on earth, this isn't for you. It's not rough by any means, but it's not incredibly soft and fluffy either. However, this is exactly what I was looking for - a comfortable yet durable linen look and feel. DURABILITY: I just received it today so can't really rate it yet, but it feels durable without being uncomfortable. SIMPLICITY: Slipping this regal comforter over our comforter wasn't an easy task for my 5ft 90lbs, but I did it myself and it was worth the work. *** The zipper does not go from corner to corner, which makes the duvet cover somewhat difficult to put on. I put the comforter inside out under the comforter, lined each corner and tied ropes to the corners of the comforter, grabbed the cover to the top two corners of the comforter and comforter, and pulled it out through the zippered opening.
