I searched for a long time and tried about six harnesses for my Boston before I found this harness. My dog has a large head and chest for a small (23lb) dog. The straps draped over his stocky head fell around his shoulders. The tethers I bought due to its weight were too small. This step in the suspension solved all those problems. Finally straps that fit and don't get in the way. My dog tumbles and jumps to greet everyone, and this harness sits (and stays!) low enough on her chest that he doesn't choke, and she can take it when he repeatedly throws his full weight at her. In time I'll be able to break this overenthusiastic greeting from him, but until then I'm glad I found something to protect him.
