This charger is ideal for on the go. It's compact and lightweight. You can't ask for much more. As this is Panasonic's 'simple' branded charger, charging times are MUCH longer than using their standard charger. It takes 10 HOURS to charge two 1900mAh AA batteries. The LEDs light up during charging and turn off when charging is complete. If the LEDs are still on, charging is not complete - leave it plugged in. The charger also turns off automatically to prevent the batteries from overcharging and catching fire. So if you're looking for faster charging, don't buy this - get one of the standard chargers. I chose this for travel and it's perfect for that. I wouldn't use it at home because of the long charging time.
