Works well but gets very hot and consumes a lot of battery power.

Pretty and small. However, it gets very hot. Not dangerously hot, but definitely very warm. Since it's powered by the laptop, all of the heat comes from the laptop's battery and you see the impact on the battery drain rate. I only tried the SD and USB ports. I haven't tested the 4K HDMI port yet.
