I was impressed with the quality and thickness of the metal used in this set. Over the years I have purchased several sets of plastic measuring cups and several metal ones. The plastic ones always either broke or the dimensions became illegible. The previous metal kits I had were made from such thin metal that they bent easily. On my old device, I bent the measuring cup around a cup and dropped it on the floor. Besides the quality of the metal, there are also 7 pieces in the set instead of the standard 5, which makes the measurement more convenient. the cups are embossed on the handles and metal to prevent them from disappearing. The way the measuring cups fold into each other means they fit into my rather shallow kitchen drawers. The plastic and metal sets I previously had were scattered around the drawer to fit. I think the money I invested in these mugs was definitely worth it. I highly recommend them.
